Carol Ann (Roberge) O'Brien, 79, of Grand Avenue, Pawtucket died Sunday, November 22, 2020. She was the wife of the late Martin H. "Marty" O'Brien Jr.

Mrs. O’Brien was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Maurice and Tina Roberge. She had a long and very rewarding career as a hairdresser in Pawtucket. The ladies who sat in her chair started as clients and became lifelong friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sitting in her favorite chair to watch all the birds come to her feeders. Anyone who visited Carol’s house appreciated her unique and extensive collection of solar bobblehead figurines dancing in her large bay window.

As a loyal fan, Carol never missed an episode of “Survivor”. She was a wonderful cook and a seafood lover who made the very best homemade cocktail sauce. Her family has fond memories of her making the absolute best Tourtière, French meat pies, and amazing chocolate cream pies. Carol loved to travel and went on 12 cruises throughout the Caribbean.

Carol leaves her children Elizabeth Beaulieu and her husband Scott of Virginia; Lynda Mattera and her husband Anthony of Pawtucket; and Martin O’Brien of California. She is survived by her brothers Donald Roberge of Warwick, Kenneth Roberge of Seekonk, Mass., and sister Beth Roberge of Pawtucket. Carol was loved by her grandchildren Andy Beaulieu, Scott Beaulieu, Erin Mahaffey, David Mattera, and Patrick Mattera. She will be greatly missed by her six great grandchildren: Ellie, Olivia, Ariana, Eli, Emma, and James.

In the last months of her life, Carol enjoyed the benefits of the Meals on Wheels program. It enhanced her day by providing a well-balanced meal delivered by a friendly & familiar face each day.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol’s memory to https://www.rimeals.org/get-involved/donate/ target="_blank">Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island via or by mailing a check to 70 Bath Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02908.
